After writing the next column for Tokyopop, I watched episode 1 of Shounen Onmyouji, because I am still in my love-for-Heian-Japan phase and there is nothing better than Heian Japan with onmyouji and monsters and such. I enjoyed it - nothing to make me run out and pimp it to everyone I know, but I'll keep watching. I've got the first episode of two other historical-ish anime downloaded, the ones that
greenapple2004 refers to as "Tenpo Ibun Ayakashi Ayashi & Bakumatsu blah blah Iroha whatever-" in her list of anime she's been watching. Will watch them at some point.
I also didn't watch Heroes on Monday because I couldn't stand to sit down and watch a show for an hour. Was planning on catching the rebroadcast Sunday, but after seeing the vague squees on the friendslist, I might download it sooner.

Also, re: Heroes-
OMG yes, this was a great episode so definitely download if you can. Next week's looks like it is going to kick some serious ass as well.

Bakumatsu was better, I think, and since I enjoyed that one more I think I'll be watching it. It does get points for being the only anime I've seen that's set in Japan and actually HAS AN EARTHQUAKE. Not caused by supernatural means, even!
