I meant to reply to your comment on the other post, but then stuff got away from me. Ideally you keep these guys slightly damp so they don't wilt. It's probably better to let them go a bit dry than to over water, but definitely water at the first sign of drooping if possible.
Cool, thanks! It makes me feel better about my plan for the week and a half I'm gone at Christmas--we got these gel tube things that are supposed to go on your plant's soil and keep it damp for a period of time, and I worried that keeping it moist like that would be bad, but it should be better to do that than let it die without water.
