Done!

Woo! It's a picture!

My first science fiction cityscape! Done following a video tutorial that Jonas De Ro sells over on Gumroad, where he shows you how to photobash a cityscape for a speedpainting. Well, a speedpainting for him--for me it was loooong hours of backing up, watching the video for a minute or two, then trying to replicate the techniques. As for the results...well, not bad for first try, I say, but I won't be working as a professional environment designer anytime soon. ;)

Done in Photoshop. I took a photo of one of the spaceships I kitbashed to serve as a basis for a thing in the sky, and painted over it. Also, Jonas De Ro's brush set, which comes with the video (or you can buy it separately for a dollar) is fantastic.

P.S. I'm not out of the woods yet when it comes to art for the art show I signed up for...this is one picture and I need a lot more. XD

That's really cool! *confetti*

Hey, stupid question the next...if I do decide I like Photoshop Elements, is it still worth hunting down Photoshop CS6 or is that pretty much a dead horse? Sorry to have so many questions? Feel free to ignore.

Very pretty. I could see that in a video game.

What a fantastic picture. I've bookmarked the tutorial for one day when I'll actually be able to follow it...

I think it was time and effort well spent, even if it is just one of many needed pieces. I really like the buildings and the light on those buildings. Sci-fi seems to be all about the sky-bridges. Oh and the spaceships, I guess... :D

Wow! I love the organic-looking pink of the sky against the metallic silver and gold of the buildings.

Thank you! although I can't take that much credit for that, as it was bodged together from to different photos to start with (lots of digital paint layered over the sky and various buildings, but I took the color scheme from them).

Haha, well, good for nature for having lovely color schemes!

I like it! You could definitely use it as a cover for a book, for example.
