Done!
Woo! It's a picture!

My first science fiction cityscape! Done following a video tutorial that Jonas De Ro sells over on Gumroad, where he shows you how to photobash a cityscape for a speedpainting. Well, a speedpainting for him--for me it was loooong hours of backing up, watching the video for a minute or two, then trying to replicate the techniques. As for the results...well, not bad for first try, I say, but I won't be working as a professional environment designer anytime soon. ;)
Done in Photoshop. I took a photo of one of the spaceships I kitbashed to serve as a basis for a thing in the sky, and painted over it. Also, Jonas De Ro's brush set, which comes with the video (or you can buy it separately for a dollar) is fantastic.
P.S. I'm not out of the woods yet when it comes to art for the art show I signed up for...this is one picture and I need a lot more. XD

Hey, stupid question the next...if I do decide I like Photoshop Elements, is it still worth hunting down Photoshop CS6 or is that pretty much a dead horse? Sorry to have so many questions? Feel free to ignore.

Yeah, it's probably worth it--I haven't been playing enough with CC to really tell the differences, but you can do a hell of a lot with 6.
