Ha!

I showed Toby the Restoration Hardware room gallery, in order to show him how steampunk they've gone. He was amazed. XD

Mind you, I rather like the general aesthetic of their gallery rooms, and will probably look at it for inspiration as I finish up the living room. But at those prices, we will not be buying the Restoration Hardware version, we will instead be buying the Target knockoff.*

* Possibly not that lamp. We sort of like it, but it does take up a lot of table space. I am, as I type this, looking speculatively at the lamp base I got at Lowe's and topped with a beige slight bell-shaped shade with russet trim, thinking it might go quite well with the living room furniture...

...Speechless.

Also, I may need some.

It must be possible to put prescription lenses in those.

I was at the store 2 months ago looking at chairs and I didn't see any explicitly steampunk display, but considering the general aesthetic of the stuff they were trying to sell (metal-plated desk that looked like an airplane part, etc) I'm not surprised.
