New camera!
I haven't replied to any of you nice people on the previous entry yet because I have, of course, been playing with the camera. :)

This is the Sora, with the light that helps the autofocus in dark areas making him squint.
And this is the Nefer, with me using my new flash, which rotates up to bounce the light off of nearby objects and not directly on the subject. Managed to get nice depth of field without even trying.
And this is what 12 megapixels can do. :)

I've got to mess with the combo of the duration of the flash and the shutter speed, though - it's slow enough that I still catch Sora with his eyes closed.

I have a Pentax Optio which has, I think, six different pet settings: black dog, grey dog, white dog; black cat, grey cat, white cat. I don't know how it handles beagles and calico cats.
