I have many potatoes. Eight pounds, in fact, as they were on sale in bags for almost half the price of buying them individually. They are baking potatoes, reasonably large. My usual potato recipes have been exhausted. Although I could eat many, many potatoes fixed my currently-favorite way, pommes Maxim, that recipe calls for much butter. Much, much butter. Which is why it's so good, and why I should save it as a rare, rare treat so that my arteries don't explode - it's basically potato chips made in butter.
So - ideas? I'd like to sort of lean away from the massive-amounts-of-OMG-good-dairy recipes, and I don't find soups that are pureed especially satisfying because I get hungry again so soon afterwards (I love me some potato-leek soup, but when I have it for dinner I end up eating dinner again an hour or two later).
